Calvin Crowder joins ranks of unstoppable entrepreneurs in the Southwest Region
DALLAS, July 28, 2020 – EY recently announced that GridLiance President and CEO Calvin Crowder is a finalist for the Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2020 Award in the Southwest Region. Widely considered one of the most prestigious business awards programs in the U.S., the program recognizes entrepreneurs and leaders of high-growth companies who are excelling in areas such as innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities, while also transforming our world. Crowder was selected as a finalist by a panel of independent judges.
Crowder joined GridLiance, an independent electric transmission utility holding company, in 2016 as president of South Central MCN LLC, now GridLiance High Plains. He was promoted to president and chief executive officer of GridLiance in 2017. Since that time, he has overseen the company as it expanded its presence to Illinois, Missouri, Kentucky and Nevada and driven innovative change that ensures fair treatment for all transmission customers, particularly those of rural electric cooperatives and public power utilities.
“I am honored to be recognized as a finalist alongside a group of transformative business leaders in the southwest region,” said Crowder. “Above all, I am proud of the progress GridLiance has made in fulfilling our mission to invest in collaborative transmission solutions to strengthen the grid. It’s a privilege to work with so many dedicated team members at GridLiance as well as our long-term business partners.”
